Aknara Water Front Community Medical Camp 2026
At Aknara Water Front (Pvt) Ltd, we believe that true hospitality extends beyond welcoming guests; it is also about caring for the people and communities around us. Embracing this philosophy, on 7th October 2026, we successfully organised a Community Medical Camp in Panadura as part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, reaffirming our commitment to accessible healthcare, community wellbeing and sustainable social development.
This meaningful community healthcare initiative brought together dedicated Western medical practitioners, Ayurvedic doctors, nurses, medical representatives and healthcare volunteers from the surrounding area, who generously contributed their time, expertise and professional services to support the health and wellbeing of local residents.
The medical camp provided a comprehensive range of complimentary healthcare services, including eye examinations, distribution of spectacles to individuals requiring vision correction, blood sugar testing, blood pressure monitoring, Western medical consultations and traditional Ayurvedic medical consultations. Through these essential services, participants received valuable medical guidance while gaining greater awareness of preventive healthcare, early detection and regular health monitoring.
One of the most impactful aspects of the programme was the provision of eye care services and complimentary spectacles, helping individuals with vision-related difficulties improve their everyday comfort and quality of life. The combination of modern Western medicine and traditional Sri Lankan Ayurvedic healthcare further reflected our commitment to promoting a holistic and inclusive approach to community wellness.
Adding a thoughtful touch of traditional Sri Lankan hospitality, participants were warmly welcomed with herbal kola kenda (traditional medicinal green porridge) and light refreshments. This gesture reflected our appreciation for the community and our belief that genuine care is expressed through even the simplest acts of kindness.
The successful event concluded with a heartfelt Appreciation and Recognition Ceremony, honouring the doctors, nurses, medical representatives, volunteers and everyone who generously contributed towards making this charitable healthcare initiative a success. The ceremony celebrated the spirit of volunteerism, professional dedication and collective responsibility that made the programme possible.
More than a medical camp, this initiative represented a meaningful celebration of compassion, healthcare accessibility, community partnership and social responsibility. By bringing essential healthcare services closer to local residents, Aknara Water Front continues to strengthen its commitment to community empowerment and positive social impact within Panadura and its surrounding communities.
The Aknara Water Front Community Medical Camp, held on 7th October 2026, stands as another proud milestone in our journey towards responsible hospitality, meaningful community engagement and sustainable social contribution.
At Aknara Water Front, we believe that the greatest expression of hospitality is not only how we welcome our guests, but also how we care for the community we proudly call home.
